I want to make a blue hair dye but I'm not sure which flavor will make a dark blue color. Has anyone tried this?

it looks like your hair is reddish in real life? (going by your avitar) it goes back to grade school - what happens when you mix red and blue? lol.

plus, kool-aid makes your hair look and feel disgusting. and i did that when i was in 5th grade...walking around with kool-aid stained hair looks SO elementary school.

You won't get a very dark blue with Kool Aid. The blueberry flavour is blue but it won't be that dark unless your hair is blonde (and then you might end up with green instead).

Better to try one of those mousses or rinse-in tints instead.

STOP!!!! You don't want to use Kool Aid in your hair unless you want ants crawling around your head! Try a blue hairspray or blue dyes you can find at a beauty supply store. If you're not sure which one, ask the clerk in the supply store. They are usually into hairdressing and would know the best products to use.

omg- do not do this... my ex has done this several times and every time he did, we woke up next morning with my pillowcase turned to the flavor of the week. at least my fav color was red!!!!!! he was really cute! our kids are adorable.... but with no coolaid hair.. i think you should use those creme colors that are like punkish! much better than staining anything - and it is cheaper.

The problem with blue koolaid is two-fold. You cant be sure how the blue will react with your real color. When my stylist colored my hair too light a red it was almost carrot orange she put in blue to make it brown (better than orange). Most hair colors that are totally different require a bleach to take out your color and then another for the fun color. So, if you want a true blue you'd have to get it done by a stylist or a beauty supply would have a kit your could try.

Second, kool-aid is temporary and may take to part of your hair and not another then you'd look goofy with more than one color. Best bet if you'd like a total different color like blue hit the beauty supply store and not the kool-aid aisle. Good luck!

Ive done this before with black cherry and it was a really pretty dark red. Ants dont crawl over you head, It doesnt stain, and it doesnt feel weird. The only problem is if you have a dark hair color it wont show well.
