The Dye you used is a cheap variety, that when mixed with the bleach (which you most likely used when it was freshly bleached) mixed with the dye, and the blue turned bright. This ends in a pink(ish) result. Try either washing it out, redying it, or waiting a week, bleaching it, and then letting the bleach dry before you bleach it.

you'll have to bleach over it, but i wouldn't recommend it because you've probably already fried your hair enough.

leave it if ur hair is already thin and have split ends because ur scalp won't be able to handle it... and roots will be more damaged and you'll itch like crazy. leave it for about a month and got to salon.

Last night I put pink streaks through my hair and my daughter loved it so much that her father and I have decieded to put a few blue streaks through her hair. It's not premanet and will wash out in a couple months. But I am afraid to do it, her kiddie hair is so cute and I'm afraid something could go wrong and mess her hair up forever. i think it would be so cute and no it wont hurt her hair. hair grows everyday. not only will this wash out but that hair will eventualy be cut off when new hair grows. nothing is permenent when it comes to hair.my son 1 yr and i put blue in his hair all the time and i put it in a mohawk and dont worry about her being teased, its the trend. i know a ton of pple with colored hair like green or blue or somthing. everyone just gets a kick our of my 1 yr olds blue hair and pierced ear lol

I don't think it would hurt,but instead of using semi permanent die you might wanna try cool aid and water. Goes in easily and washes out after like 2 washes depending on her hair color.

a lot of people will say it is bad...but it depends where you live....if you live in the south, in the bible blet area you will get complete different reactions the if you did it in california.

don't go over board and do all here hair, (at first) maybe just one that will end up in her ponytail (if she wears her hair like that) maybe just the tips of her hair. (again, don't do all the tips at first)

Use the temporay wash out stuff that comes out in a couple of washes. If you like it, then go a little more permanant (a few months, not hair dye or bleach)

Have fun with her, if she wants to do it, then do it. A good way to look at anything in your life is "What is the worst thing that could happen?" If you can accept the worst possible outcome then whatever "it" is, is worth the risk! Hair is just hair..it grows out, we cut it, we fry it with hot irons, it is there for us girls to express ourselves.

she just wants to be like Mom..I say no big deal! BUT depending where your from you could get some looks from others or strangers and at school. I live in a small country town and let my son put red streaks when he was 12 and school treated me like I was a horrible parent. Ok first off I see no reason not to! Be careful with blue though, it won't show very well on dark hair and on blonde hair it will turn green as it fades.

Well tanning is bad, it makes you old and wrinkled and you could get skin cancer. Use a self tanner that has sunscreen, that is the safest best bet. And you won't burn that way!

try jergens moisturizing tanning lotion it works little by little to give you a natural tan and doesn't look orange. since youre so light get the one that 's for fair skin. i live in florida too and my friend is white like you and what she had to do she got a bit of tanning oil and sat outside for 30 min. Your burns will turn to tans over time.... but it is not healthy for your skin at all. I am also a fair skinned red head. Navy stationed me in hawaii for 5 years, by the time I left I had a tan. Now, 10 years later I have skin cancer. So, really you have to ask yourself, how important is that tan to you?

Natural redhead here ... it's nearly impossible for us to get natural tans. When I'm desparate for a "healthy glow" ... I usually settle for the "spray on" type tans offered at various salons.

If you're set on doing it the old-fashioned way ... start out slowly by going to the tanning salon 15 minutes at a time. Build your way up ... I've only gotten this to work once and it took about a month before I saw any change. Fair skinned people tend to turn pink ... then fade.

I'm going to completely disregard the health/ skin cancer comments, since you obviously don't care. But honestly, for your time, do the booth/ spray on tans. I don't tan either. If I sun bathe too long, I get blisters. They peel and the white skin is back. Being outside with shorts on and a tank will prob. give your skin a light tan. I usually use Neutrogena Self tanning cream on my legs for the first few weeks into wearing shorts. It's not obvious to others and makes me feel more comfortable. During the summer I have a nice color. I will never tan dark, it's not my physical makeup and I don't think yours either. You will hurt your skin more by frying it. It will wrinkle sooner and become leathery. I lived in California with a lot of tanned people. But many were as white as myself. Be happy with that.

Ok, well there is really no solution, sorry to say. To be honest, if you are naturally fair skinned, then you would probably look strange with a tan! i am really pale too, but people think it can be a good thing!

Then you can see how you like it without the health risks of tanning beds or full sun. Wow you sound like you are already very beautiful!!! I wish I was as lucky as you. If you really need a tan though, try a tan booth and get a base tan. If you can achieve a base tan you wont burn as bad in the sun. How ever, tan booths are safer.UV rays are a contributing factor to skin cancer. I strongly urge you not to try sunless tanning creams or miracle pills. Lotions on really fair skin will appear orange- yellow( like jaundice). I'm fair skin too. Even high-end lotions as well. don't swim in chlorinated water or you'll look like a Zebra too- yikes!! i don't know if they still have the tanning pills like they did in the 80's but they make you orange too. ( I heard they can harm you too.) Most of those products don't work well with fair skin. Sunless products are really meant to enhance an already warmer- toned complexions.

go to a reputable stylist in your area and start out by trying lowlights in a toffee shade to see how you like going darker. a great stylist can make it look very natural. if you like it or decide you'd like to go darker it will be easier to do so as opposed to going dark overall, not liking it, and having to either live with it or shell out alot of time and money to strip it. the best way to find an awesome hair stylist is to ask someone whose hair you love and ask them! that's how i found my hair stylist and i've been with her for 15 years and i've gotten my whole family to go to her. a bit pricey but well worth it = )

From what my friend says (who has fooled around with A LOT of different brands) Special Effects and Punky Colour are her two favorite brands.

Its fading too fast because its pink, not because of the brand. Pink is a shade of red and red hair is the worst pigment for hair and always fades fast. Manic Panic is a good brand. Hot Topic has a few good brands too. Sally's has a few to choose from. Most brands are alike and will deliver the same effect, when it comes to bold bright colors. And just a suggestion, I dont know if youre going all blue or not, but it might look good (depending on your skin tone) to go for a dark espresso brown (which looks almost black) with blue highlights. Because blackish hair already gives off a blue tint, so the highlights would really compliment it. Then when you were done with blue, you could switch to red or blonde or whatever and not have to do your WHOLE head. But this is totally a personal preference thats dependent upon your commitment. As far as dyes goe I would say give Manic Panic a try just so youre informed and knowledgable about what works better for your hair. Good luck! (P.S. I would go for Hot Pink kinda fuschia you could also wear turquoise or teal. Even brown or gold. It depends how do you want to look and what do you want to bring out. If you have fair skin and you want to bring out your rosy cheeks and your lips what I mean is you want to look girly you could wear fuschia or hot pink. I am the exact same and I went brown for awhile. I liked it but people said it looked to dark for me. I went to the hairdressers after and got bleach blonde streaks put in it. It looks awesome! This is the best my hairs ever looked. You should get it done. You'll have your blonde and your brown you want this way. sounds like a risk for you to try but...you gotta do it a little at a time and always use sunscreen. put on some 15, go lay out for a half hour and then come in and evaluate the progress. just be veey careful! im sure you know all the bad stuff too much sun can do!

Hmm, Mix your tanning lotion with sunblock, and instead of laying out for however long your darker skinned friends do, sometimes thats 30 mins, sometimes its an hour.....cut that time in half until you start to gain a darker skin tone.

With red hair and freckles...that type is not known to tan much at all. You can try all summer and it may hardly do anything other then burn. To save yourself the trouble and the health dangers of the sun and tanning beds, your best bet IS a (good) fake tanner.

Blue is used to make black dye. The Blue will wash out over time, but how quickly depends on how fine the hair shaft is. Courser hair (thicker hair shaft) has more room to retain dyes.

it could be because of the hair dye brand you chose. I naturally have black hair and a few years ago got some teal streaks in my hair (the streaks had to be bleached before they were died teal). When i got tired of them i decided to just color all of my hair black. I used Feria and it didn't cover the streaks all the way. Like you said, it didn't look fully black. I tried Hydrience next and that worked.

Since you have a fair complexion i would not recommend wearing red lipstick. Bright reds will wash you out and make you look even more pale.....(im rellllllly pale so it sux). Go for lighter colors.....like if u have fair skin ur supposed to wear purples and pinks (for like eyeshadow) or pinks for lipgloss.

Fair skin and red lipstick is fabulous...and blondes look amazing in red. I'd say go with a classic red. MAC makes a great one called Ruby Woo. It's a true classic red color with a matte finish. Pair it with a very simple eye and you'll look great...if you want a true red that is. The good thing is that you can go to a MAC store or to a counter and Macy's or Norstrom's and try the lipstick on first before you buy it. If you don't like the Ruby Woo, they have tons of reds to choose from. The MAC lipsticks are $14 where as a drug store brand averages at about $10 so it's not too much more. Good luck :)

Its all about genetics, your great grand parents could've been light skinned and thats where you got it from. Genes skip some generations, or skip a few member in the family.

Also not everyone in Mexico is brown skinned w/ brown eyes. Just like the US, there are chinese-mexicans, black mexicans but thats another story. There's a few places in Mexico where people are white, blue/green eyed and are still Mexicans and all their ancestors have been mexicans they have not emigrated from the US or anyother part of the world, thats just how they happen to be. Plz do not be like jessica alba and deny where your family came from, it it wasn't for them you wouldn't exit.

genes are weird like that...sometimes what features you inherit is totally random...for example I have full lips and no one in either my mom's side or dad's side has lips like I do...my boyfriend's mom is mostly European Spanish, a bit Italian, and even less native-american..but she looks like she could full-blooded native american, or even east Indian or Filipino or something else "exotic"! And ironically the native american she gets is from her mom, who is very pale and white, so someone in her family line was as dark as she is and she got it from that ancestor. Even if youre say a very small fraction of a certain ethnicity, that gene might just pop up in your appearance, even if youre mostly something else. Ever hear that there's someone in your ancestry that you look exactly like? Well maybe there was in your family! Though your parents are very dark, there's obviously somebody in one of their bloodlines that was blonde, blue-eyed, probably of Spanish, French, German or some other European descent, and it just happens to show up in you.

Another example: I knew of this couple, a black guy and white lady, they had two fraternal twin daughters together, and one looked full black, with dark skin, did not look half white at all, and the other had blonde hair green eyes and pale skin like her mother, and looked full white! It was weird like they werent even sisters at all let alone twins bc they looked so different from each other. But genes are like that. They're random and unpredictable.

First of all, I'm the same way. Everyone asks, "Are you sure you're from the same parents" when they see my brothers and sisters. I'm lighter than they are and taller than both my sisters. My features are different, but I look like one of my Aunts. It might of skipped a generation but don't worry if you were adopted, hopefully your parents treated you well and don't worry how you look. Besides if you go to Mexico you will see all kinds of skin tones, eye color, and hair color. My cousins are vary from blonde, brown, and even red hair. It doesn't make them any better or worse then you. Be proud of who you are. You're probably real pretty.

I don't know specifically what your situation is, but I do know that either one or both parents must have light eyes (a recessive trait) in order to have a child with light eyes

However, it is impossible to have a light-eyed child (a recessive trait), if *both* parents have dark eyes.

I'm not sure how this works with hair and skin but I know that light features are recessive traits, and that darker features are considered dominant traits.

I know that latinos have a wide range of features, and it is possible to have blonde hair and blue eyes. However, these latinos came from European descent (when Spain and Portugal colonized South and Central America).

Basically, if you have blonde hair and blue eyes you have some sort of European (white) ancestory in you (can't tell you how much though), because the only region in the world where these light features are possible is Europe (and wherever they conlonized and mixed with other cultures...such as latinos).

Sorry to say to you but you really need to have a serious talk with your parents, because genetically it is impossible for both of them with the dark features that you described to have a light-eyed/skined/hair child like yourself. (Not to mention they obviously lied to you about your great grandpa).

I wouldn't necessarily say that you weren't Mexican though. It is very possible that one of your Mexican parents is biologically yours, but somewhere along the lines of when you were concieved they were involved with someone who had light features (which could be either white or Latino). If this was the case (which actually is surprisingly common) they probobly wanted to avoid having you feel that one of your biological parents wasn't there in your life and the other took you on as their own. (Or maybe you were adopted....let's hope that you weren't kidnapped).

I don't know though, it's a tough situation, but you have to remember despite the fact that one or both of them may not *biologically* be your parents, they still raised you and cared for you. Despite the fact that they haven't been totally honest with you, they probobly did what they thought was best for you and love you (which makes them family still).
