It's all up to genetics.

My husband is fair-skinned, with blondish (it gets darker as he gets older) hair and blue eyes and both of his parents the same. I'm Mexican and Native American, with a medium complexion, medium brown hair and brown eyes and both of my parents the same. So it was surprising when my son was born with blonde hair and blue eyes.

generally the baby will take after the darker qualities but you never know

My 8 year old sons father is hispanic, And has all of the 'dark' features..And I, Like you, Have red hair, Blue eyes and fair skin..

My son was born with black hair %26amp;%26amp; brown eyes, And when he was first born, He was a little darker than an 'all white' child would be..As he's gotten older, and out into the sun, he's a light brown color! :-)

Mixed babies are so pretty!!! Congrats on the soon to be bundle of joy!!!

P.S.- If you want to see pics of him...You can look @ my Yahoo! Photo Album...

Genes will decide. My cousin who is White married a Mexican man and had a red haired freckled-face kid. My husband is half Japanese (brown eyes and black hair) and I'm dark blond/blue-green eyes and my daughter has light brown hair and blue eyes. No matter what, your baby will be yours and you'll find similar characteristics as he/she grows.

Because of the wonders of genetics, I would imagine there aren't many people who can answer this very accurately, a whole list of recessive and dominant genes, so on so forth. Wouldn't it be cool if your baby had your bf's skin and your eyes, tho? ;)

The brown genes are known to be dominant but scientists haven't looked into all the qualities of colour DNA... It's just not a priority. The baby will probably look tanned. But, who doesn't want the tanned look nowadays?

you're like me! I'm fair, reddish hair, freckles, blue-green eyes, I burn easily if I'm not careful. My ex on the other hand is half Cherokee Indian with black hair, dark brown eyes, tanned skin....

my kid came out looking like me! I can't tell you how happy I was about that! Fair skin, reddish light brown hair, and beautiful green eyes. However the personality isn't like mine, but that's alright:) I love him all the same!

Most often, the mother has the dominant gene, the baby will probably look more like you. Sounds like the baby will be cute.

Well congrats first off. You never know genes are funny. My son is a very light skinned black boy with dk blonde hair. I am dk brown and so is his dad both with dk brown hair. My son took after his dads sisters and who knows where they go it from bc they don't look like t heir parents. Everyone thinks that my son has a white father!

most likely darker skinned, with brown hair and brown eyes because these are typically the dominant traits. However, that does not mean he can't have recessive genes to give the baby, which could result in lighter skin and features more like yours.

My grandmother has light brown hair and blue eyes, and is fair, my grandfather had black hair, brown eyes and olive skin (he was also Hispanic). My uncle has black hair and brown eyes and fair skin and my mother has green eyes, dark brown hair and fair skin that tans very easily.

You never know...

(let me first say Im sorry if anyone reads this and finds it offensive, it is not ment to be, It is my lack of proper words,It is just honest truth and randy and his wife know how i speak and they do not mind that i have added them in this example.)

well if you go by the dominance thing then it will prob have brown or black hair and brown eyes.

Might have Brown hair and blue eyes.

I dont know if red hair is more dominant then black but i dont think it is. It also plays on your family genes, like is everyone in your family red haired or just a rare few.

I know a family where the father (Randy) is partially mixed, i say partially cuz his his grandmother was Blonde hair, blue eyes (german) and grandpa was black, making his father mixed. His mother is black. Randy looks black, brown skin brown eyes, but with not so much black person hair texture, its softer.

Randy's wife is white blonde hair, i think blue eyes. They have 3 girls, a 2yrold and they just had twins. They all look white, the 2yr olds looks like a white little girl with brown eyes and very curly hair (white person texture). The twins also look like white newborns, even had blue eyes. I assure you his wife hasnt cheated on him, the 2 yr old looks just like her father in the face.

so like i said it has to do with your family history and dominance in the genes. If everyone in your family has red hair there is a slight possibily you kid will have red hair but i would say that the child will either have Brown/Black hair and either brown or blue eyes. That just means your kids will have the possibily of giving you red haired grandchildren.

expect a combination of both. It's all 50/50 if you know what I mean.

Normally, a baby gets 23 haploids from the mom and 23 from the dad and all toghther having 46 chromosomal diploids.
