Garnier 100% Blue Black hair dye -- how were your results?

I went to dye my hair blue black today at the salon. I was hoping it would turn out with a blue tint in the sunlight but it came out slightly red instead. I'm wondering if it's a good idea to go over my jet black hair with Garnier's 100% Blue Black dye. I just want that blue tint in the sun and I was wondering how effective it was from others' experience. If not, is there another brand that I should use that I can get from Target/Walgreens?

Anyway, I'm not so keen on Garnier's dyes. But I am with their hair/skin products.

Schwarzkopf are really good. The colour does "bleed" when washing it, but it doesn't fade. I really recommend Schwarzkopf. However I do not know the name, of the exact dye but its by Schwarzkopf . But its in a big box, not the little "live" ones.

I always get the blue tint when using Schwarzkopf. Any others, nup.

dont use garnier its hard to get out and cannot be stripped if needed to and it his more harmfull than other dyes

becarfull with that blue stuff!!! My hair turned green from it.

Go to a better salon and get it dyed because my friend got her hair dyed blue/black and the results were fabulous! She got them from her mom bcuz shes a professional hairstylist. So, I recommend going to a better salon than doing it yourself.

oh yah, my friend has naturally black hair..the results may differ if you don't have natural black hair to start with.
