What about coloured hairspray? At least then you can put it where you want it and wash it out if you don't like it or try the hairdressers

use hair streaks as dye could harm your hair

One contracted word: don't.

With a blue kool-aide over bleached hair makes that hair blue for at least a week and a half two weeks, any dye that is blue though, is vibrant for only about 2 weeks then starts to fade. I've had friends that have gone really, really blue and it started to fade after a week and a half, even by getting it done in a salon...

I would go with permenent so you can have them for as long as you want and it wount fade so you can have nice bright streaks all the time.

Oh go with permanent.

It looks so much better.

I've had horrible results with kool-aid, bingo dabbers and food colouring.

Don' even bother. They will just destroy your hair, and it feels gross when its in your hair. Temporary hair sprays feel really crispy in your hair, plus they wash out. I can't stand them. Temporary hair creams also go crispy and they rub off on clothes and furniture quite often. They all feel quite gross. I dislike them.

If you have dark hair, any blue hair dye you put in will be barely noticeable. Its best to lighten it first.

If you go with permanent, here is what I use, even though I go with pink, I have really good bright results with the two following brands.

Dixon Fantasy Colour (Bleached First)

Jerome Russel Punky Color (Bleached First)...a really old pic when I was younger.

If you don't prelighten your hair you can use manic panic and do foil streaks, and they are supposed to wash out in about 6 washes, although I wouldn't know because I always dye my hair by then. Keep in mind unless you have naturally bleach blond hair, you wont have a really bright blue colour.

Here's a few tips, Always use a ton of vaseline around your forhead, ears and neck all around your hairline. Blue especially will stain you. wash it off when your done, this prevents any drips from staining you.

Buy a good pair of gloves, not the cheap kind. Get a pair of professional gloves if you can because the cheap kind always breaks and you don't want to have blue hands for a few days. I've dyed my hair blue many times and had blue hands. Blue is very noticeable.People always ask what happened!!!

Buy a Plastic Hair dye Paintbrush for applying, they sell these in salon stores, it makes dye so much easier to apply. ( if your not getting a kit, you wont get one)

Use lots of old towels, Wear an old shirt, again, Blue dye's everything...even countertops sometimes. Be careful!

Good luck and go for it.
