I just highlighted my hair blue. I have black hair, you see. But the color is only vibrate outside, in the light. Over time, will the color become lighter and more noticable or should I just go ahead and dye my whole head blue?

The only way that a fantasy color (such as blue, purple, pink, etc) is going to show up in your hair, would be to strip or bleach the parts that you want to dye. Lighter hair colors are ideal for dying fantasy colors. Damn those blonde girls! =)
I would NOT recommend dying your whole head blue, because you would have to strip it first. Striping and bleaching destroy the hair, so that is why it would be best to do highlights instead. There is nothing worst than having dry, damaged hair! The color will not become lighter over time, and fantasy colors are only semi-permenant. The more you wash, the more it comes out. It is the most vibrant in the beginning. Hope this helps!

if you really want to... ya!! go for it!!!! but a nice mixture would be a blue-black color. hope it helps!!!
