I HAVE to dye my blue hair back blonde...?

naturally, i have normal brown hair. i dyed it black, and bleached the side blonde. after trying to put blue streaks in it (stupid, i know) i washed out the blue, and the blonde part of my hair turned blue. THEN i bought MORE bleach, and tried to dye the blue back to blonde that way. it turned purple. but only until i washed the bleach out of my hair. now it's back to blue. am i stuck with blue until it grows out??

I HAVE to dye my blue hair back blonde...?

sally beauty has this great stuff called salon care color remover, it's not bleach so it doesn't ruin your hair, and doesn't alter undyed hair. just apply it to the blonde hair, it will take that blue out, and leave you with just bleach blonde. there might be a tiny blue tint left, so worst case you can use a golden blonde dye to counteract the blue. go to sally beauty to get the dye, never go to a drug/retail store to buy any hair products.

I take it you learned your lesson.

Try dyeing it . Not bleaching it.

i think you should go to a hair salon and have a professional fix your hair.

Try getting haircolor remover from Sally Beauty (or an online store if you don't have a Sally or similar store nearby). Brands include Loreal's "Colorzap," One N Only's "Colorfix," "Color Oops," etc. [Get Colorfix if possible, because it's the only one I've ever tried that has enough in one box for more than one application. And you'll probably want to use it a few times in a row.]

These are really good at removing haircolour when bleach doesn't work! Bleach is alot better at removing natural pigments, but colour remover is made specifically to remove dye. You might not be able to get 100% of it out. But if the blue doesn't completely disappear after a few applications of colour remover, it should at least be light enough to dye over it. If you want it lighter blonde, you can also try alternating with bleach and the remover... I find colour remover will remove even more colour if you bleach in between uses than either bleach or colour remover would remove on their own. [As I've learned from testing with small strands of hair... If you aren't concerned about really bad damage, you can eventually turn any dyed hair super-light-blonde this way.]
