Where can I find blue hair dye that will actually work?

I bought some blue hair dye from some weird ghetto store. It didn't work.It turned my hair a weird dark color!! I was mad!! So please, can anybody help me?? %26amp;%26amp; I want it a really noticable blue

it really depends on how light your hair is. mines black so when i wanted to dye streaks of purple into it, i had to bleach my hair first. After bleaching you can buy hair dye at hot topic. try Special Effects, Manic Panic or Raw. special effects works a bit better than the others but raw smells a whole lot better. but be careful cause all are MESSY! you'll have to scrub the tub afterwards and your towel will be whatever color you dye your hair. if you can't go to hot topic, try a beauty store like Sallys. hope that helps. =]
