I want to dye my hair blue using manic panic atomic blue hair dye, but its not currently bleached. my natural color is like i dirty blonde/light brown, and i cant get my hair bleached for a while, anyone know what i should do or how it will come out???

If you want it to look like the color of the manic panic, It will require that you bleach it first. Are you looking for a solid color, or just a specific spot? I have done many of these colors, and they ALWAYS look AWESOME when you dye the hair a very light blonde. It is extra work, but it is worth it. I would try getting the highlighting done proffessionally, and then do the manic panic yourself. If you want to do it on your own, I would definitely recommend help from a friend. Good Luck!

odds are you'll end up with a dirty, muddy looking blue/green color if you don't bleach first. You can buy a bleachign kit and do it yourself! Trust me, as someone who has had their hair every color of the rainbow, you need to bleach first or you won't be happy with the results.

Since your hair is a dirt blonde/light brown, it will probably show. However, it won't be as bright as when you put it over bleached hair. So, yes, you can dye your hair and have it show, but, no it won't be BRIGHT blue or anything.

i died my friends hair purple once and we used manic panic hair die it works awesome....we bleached her hair though with an at home bleach kit that they sell at like hot topic right next to the manic panic hair dye i definatly think that if you want the exact color as on the box you definatly need to bleach first or you probley will get the muddy blue-lake water green look...so just go with the home bleach it works just fine!!!!
