Does black, blue-black, and/or dark blue hair dye fade to brown or auburn?

I dyed my hair, which is naturally black, burgandy and the dye faded into a reddish brown. This brown color makes me look horrible. I'm getting really sick of waiting it to grow out and I want my hair to be back to it's beautiful, blue-black color. I'm thinking of using hair dye to make it black again. Does black, blue-black and/or dark blue hair dye fade to brown, because I don't want to have to dye my hair a ton of times?

well, here's my advice you should just let it grow and turn black. evn if you go through pain and suffering becuase if you dye it again you might end with an odd color in your'e hair based on the chemicals.why did you dye it in the first place!

It depends on how dark your natural hair is, Sometimes if its a really dark brown hair, and you Color you hair Black it'll last a long time. But yes it does eventually Fade, like every hair color... Just go into a Salon when you start seeing your natural hair color and retouch it up.
